Milwaukee Krampusnacht was a Packer-Polka Party

I was thrilled to be invited back to play vintage polka records at the eight annual Milwaukee Krampusnacht at Pabst Best Place in the brewery district on December 7.

A change in the Green Bay Packer game schedule threw a little wrench in our schedule, but we made it work. After revelers checked into the registration table, they filtered in to the historic Great Hall to watch the Packer game on a drop-down screen, grab a drink, and chat while polka music played in the background.

A highlight was a dad who brought his kids for Packers and polka. He wanted to catch the game, but also let his kids get the very Wisconsin experience of dancing to the music.

After the polka party, Milwaukee Krampusnacht’s entertainment and parade was as vibrant as ever. The organizers are keeping Milwaukee weird with an event that seems to grow every year. I love that city and it’s always great to visit, but especially to play old polka records in such a special and historic venue.
