Full Mile’s HALFTOBERFEST: because we couldn’t wait until September to party Munich-style
A year is too long to wait for beer, pretzels and polka. That’s why Full Mile Beer Co. & Kitchen in Sun Prairie broke out the lederhosen on the half-way mark to Oktoberfest season on Saturday, March 21.
With a special beer release, a full house, and open garage-door style windows on a beautiful spring day, I got to play a bunch of old time oompah.
I say this a lot, but it’s my favorite thing to just play background music for people. I like filling a room with music that just floats on top of the chatter of a crowd. That was in full effect at Full Mile. There was one older lady whose face LIT UP every time I played a Roger Bright song, and I suspected she may have cut a rug in New Glarus back in the day. I played a couple extra Bright tunes and someone in her party gave me a big tip. What a delightful surprise.
Big thanks to Full Mile in Sun Prairie. Their gemuetlichkeit is as good as their food and beer.
